Our Environment
Little Crickets is a small purpose-built day nursery set in the secluded part of the grounds of Northwood Cricket Club. We are open Monday to Friday 7:30am – 6pm offering full and part time places to children aged 1 to 5 years old. This is also inclusive of 15/30 hours free funding places.
We have created a home from home environment inside the nursery and outside we have extensive grounds to enable lots of outdoor experiences. This includes our own recently developed garden and a veranda area for free flow access.

Little Crickets is divided into two age range rooms. There is a room for the the youngest children and one for those children aged from two and a half to five years.
Meal Times
We have an on site cook at Little Crickets that prepares all our freshly cooked meals. High quality meals are provided for all children incorporating allergies and dietary requirements.
Meal times are a social time, where all children are encouraged to feed themselves and develop good table manners.
Play
Play is an important part of how your child grows and develops. At Little Crickets this is the focus of all that we offer the children, giving them opportunity to learn from everything they do and everything going on around them.

Learning
All activities are supported by the staff team however being guided by the children’s interests. All six areas of the Curriculum are reflected in such activities, taking guidance from Birth to 5 Matters and Development Matters publications.
